In a mad moment of indulgence I actually paid for a license for something called Ultra Tag Editor that does the same thing. However, I'm not gonna search for eags-on, just in case it's completely free and better - that'd teach me!

Its free alright. None too polished and its crashed once or twice but thats when I was pushing it. I think maybe the point is that something like it is essential these days. The only thing I would love it to be able to do is to traverse subdirs. The explorer extension is nice though.
