Another 'Get rid of pesky startup programs' gizmo

Does a similar job to the Startup Control Panel that Conor posted last month however, it has this great option to hide signed Microsoft entries, which makes it easy to spot annoying third party programs.

Worth a look for a 212K download.

The mp3 playing phone question.

Well I got an upgrade coming to me. What I want in a phone is Linux compatibility, bluetooth, mp3 playing with a decent card size as max and possibly a radio. Im considering one of the following...

1/ Nokia 6230i. Mem has a max of 512m but thats nothing bad as it supports AAC and for headphone listening it can 1/2 the size of the files [Learned this on the N-Gage]. FM Radio. Bluetooth. Includes 32m card. 1.3mp camera.

2/ Sony W800i. / Sony D750i. Mem has max of 2G. Supports AAC also. 2mp camera [which is probably rubbish]. Includes 512m card. I know the D750i has a radio. There is however DRM issues with moving mp3 files to and from the device with the supplied software [maybe there is some freeware to get around this limitaion]. I suppose I could [and probably would] just use a card reader though.

Tending towards the Sony but had a horrible experience with one couple of years back. Anyone here have a recent Sony? What do you think of the menus and the like?

Firefox 1.5 Beta

Mozilla have released the first beta of Firefox 1.5.

The blurb from Mozillazine is as follows: -

"New features include an improved software update system, faster Back and Forward navigation, a feature for clearing private browsing data, drag-and-drop reordering of browser tabs, a redesigned Options/Preferences window and better popup blocking. Web standards support is also improved, with support for Scalable Vector Graphics, JavaScript 1.6 and more CSS. Accessibility is also better (including new DHTML accessibility features), security has been enhanced and there's now greater support for Mac OS X."

Firefox 1.5b1 Download - bear in mind it will likely break some of your extensions until new versions are done.

Which PSP should one buy? (on behalf of Rob L)

Verbatim:
Is an import from Japan better. I heard the screens were better.
Does multi-region exist?

And what about the operating system. Earlier versions were reported to lock down any 'wrong' applications.

Is DRM an issue?

And is there a site where all this shit is discussed?
And to buy?

New phone recommendations. Please.

Okay.
Gather round.
The time has come.
I've been offered an upgrade on my phone. I currently have S700i which I'd like not to have any more. Why the fuck did I buy one the first place? Certainly not because of the website.
;)

Anyway.
I loved my P800 and my initial reaction is go P900 (or 910 but that keyboard is daft).
Things I liked:
- stylus
- large memory for addresses (very important - holds all the details including address and notes. Not just phone numbers)
- good-ish sync software (most SE sync software seems to be shite)
- availability of extra bits and pieces e.g. RemoteP800 (see first post on this blog)

Should I go with what I know?
Or perhaps the SPV M500? Or is this only on Orange.
Or SPV C500? Orange only?

Recommendations please.

(James, I know about the Treo. :) )
